This painting is a return to the giant long narrow mural style painting that I first began in 2019 with the work Flourishing, this one clocks in at 9ft (108”) wide and 3 ft (36”) tall. This piece together two of my latest muses -pokeweed and mountain laurel - in an attempt to completely surround the viewer in nature. I thought very light sunshiny colors - purple, pink, light blue/teal would be a nice counter balance to our heavy January weather.

While painting I was speeding my way through Wuthering Heights on audiobook, a good book seems to make all the difference about how much time I spend in the studio!

The painting is as always on unstretched canvas and is signed on the back and initialed in the lower right hand corner.
