Solar Array
Description: This work is quite large, it is painted with acrylic paint on a single piece of unstretched canvas. It is 101" wide and 46" high. Signed on the back and initialed in the lower right hand corner.
It is part of an environmental series I have produced called "Renewables". This particular work was inspired by time spent viewing the many solar panels on drives throughout the green state of Vermont.

Mangroves in the Keys
Description: During a vacation to the Florida Keys, I went for a wonderful kayak trip through the mangroves on Marathon. They were teeming with birds, fish, jellyfish, oysters (and one very lost looking racoon). Mangroves are an essential part of the ecosystem Mangrove swamps protect coastal areas from erosion, storm surge and are protected by the state of Florida. ainted on unstretched (flat) canvas, painted with acrylic paint. Blowing in the Wind
Description: The sun bears down brightly on the fields of eastern France. The wind blows through flowers, fields of grain and energy producing windmills. This painting is part of my "Renewable" Series - addressing the relationship of energy and the landscape. It was inspired by scenes I sketched in eastern France during an artist residency in the summer of 2014. As with most of my work, this is painted on unstretched flat, unprimed canvas.
